Weaverville mill owner sues water district over fire
In a lawsuit filed June 24, 2010, in Shasta County Superior Court, the mill’s owners claim that before the fire, the Weaverville Community Services District had recently repaired a leaking backflow system in what’s known as “The Vault” under the mill’s Main Street parking lot. Names a backflow contractor as a co-defendant.

Organized on May 14th, 1980, and incorporated in California June 16th, 1984, the Northern California Backflow Prevention Association is composed of representatives of various water agencies, related organizations and individuals who have an interest in backflow prevention and cross-connection control.
The primary purpose of the Association is to provide members with a broad understanding of the principles of backflow prevention and to recommend standards of practice and application of approved backflow prevention devices.
